Tomáš Hlavina

Born in 1966

The objects and installations of multimedia artist Tomáš Hlavina can be labelled as sculptural works. His sculptures are made of human artefacts. The artist carefully processes them, puts them together, combines them, frequently using objects of daily use to suit his intentions. In his seemingly simple objects, characteristic of a great sensitivity of perception of the world, he touches upon many philosophical, existential and religious questions. His body of work is a synthesis of many influences, absurdities and paradoxes.
