Dominik Lang

Born in 1980

It is for the third time that Dominik Lang, who is currently exhibiting his works in the renowned Secession gallery in Vienna, has appeared in the finale of the Jindřich Chalupecký Award. According to the jury, he is one of the most remarkable and promising young artists both in the Czech Republic and on the international scene. In his installations, he is rethinking modernist tradition, combining it with contemporary modes of presentation. Besides exhibiting the very artworks, he is also aware of their spatial connections so that the exhibition mode becomes part of the game.
